Dead Horse Point State Park, Utah

The pinnacle of our entire trip, as well as all my experience with the natural world up until that point was captured at Dead Horse Point State Park in Utah. Driving atop a mesa for many miles, all you will see is grass and sky. Your entire field of view is very plain and monotone, when unexpectedly, you will arrive at the edge of the mesa. As soon as you exit your vehicle, an overwhelming view enfolds you. The expansive Canyonlands National Park below you extends in every direction for what seems like eternity.  The breathtaking views rendered me silent, in shock, and awe-struck to the point of tears merely by gaining a glance over the edge of the parking lot. Add this to your bucket list. The view will leave you pondering the creation of our natural world.. We are truly blessed with the wealth of natural wonders of our Earth. If you pass up a chance to see this beauty, you are missing out on an other-worldly view. The other tourists at this monument were pleasant, too – everyone was hushed in the presence of this beauty.

Only just getting our of the parking lot, and peering over the edge, I saw a view that was incomparable to anything else I’d ever seen. It brought tears to my eyes. We began walking to the viewing area. This is it! Walking away from the crowd to the right of the viewing area, there are some nice areas to look from. We caught the sunset there, although a storm on the horizon covered the sun as it slipped away. Tried to capture photographs of the lightning with the sunset, unfortunately to no avail. These are timeless moments.
